7 week check up....I had 145 degrees flexion and full extension, stable, Dr. Coon said I already passed the 6 month criteria.  All this without PT.

Knee hurts when getting up after a long period of sitting with heavy laptop, like now.  Otherwise I walk fine.  Still working on steps and getting up from chairs without arm use.

So things are going well, except now my California Blue Cross Insurance has told me they have done a "retrospective" review of my surgery and won't cover "Computer Assisted surg navigational procedures" since they are "investigational".

Does anyone know if it is worth appealing this?

About the insurance...since Dr. Coon is in Blue Cross network, he will "eat" the cost they won't pay.

I still think it's crappy of them to approve the surgery then tell me later certain portions are not approved.  If I'd had to appeal, I wonder if I could have gotten them for doing that.
